My understanding was that it was from multiple agencies.

good to not lose sight of all the bad things Trump did during the full 4 years: giving foreign aid based on a country helping him in domestic politics, using government to encourage customers/clients for his businesses, head-in-sand on covid causing unnecessary deaths... can anyone add more?
Roy Pardee
33:33
he was a no-show in the NY court today that was determining whether he should be required to go to GA to testify--so he'll have to go

Trump played ketchup...

36:57
yeah, that's an excellent piece

Republicans who voted for Trump but wanted him to step down when he lost: they are bigger people than me (maybe)
Jeremy Chase
43:08
I’ve had to block so many friends and family in recent weeks. It’s killing me.
Bob Findlay
43:35
that should be a no-brainer
Jeremy Chase
43:47
Added thought: we should start a Trump support group - people affected by him and his ilk. Anyone interested?

Not a Trump Support Group—A Trump Trauma Support Group. Makes it cleaar what is being supported.
Jeremy Chase
45:05
Yes exactly (sorry Tish)
Tish Levee
45:42
no problem, Jeremy. Just wanted to make sure it was clear who needs the support

voter intimidation is illegal
Jeremy Chase
47:35
At Bob: what’s missing is legislative teeth.
Dwight Rousu, Redmond, WA
48:11
The Dems have people monitor drop boxes for vandalism. That is different
Jeremy Chase
48:28
We need to make it clear, once and for all, what voting should be like. Then increase fine amounts and include jail time.
Tish Levee
48:30
And they aren't putting up intimidating signs.
Jeremy Chase
52:59
Exactly! Monied influence is problematically insulating.
Bob Findlay

Brian Emanuels

47 House Republicans voted for the same-sex marriage bill, and a bunch of R Senators have already said they'll support it, so there's a decent chance it can pass the Senate, even with the filibuster.
David Gordon
56:56
Filibuster: anyone want to make an argument for getting rid of it if the Republicans take control of the Senate?
Jeremy Chase
57:49
At David: it’s a desperate move but it’s gotta be done while we have control.
David & Ruth Neal
57:50
Abortion is not helping someone with a miscarriage or an ectopic pregnancy just sayin'. doctors need to help patients not cause death & destruction for women!
Jeremy Chase
58:32
At Other David: Doctors don’t have a choice. They could face jail time.
David Gordon
58:46
@Jeremy: but then won't the Republicans undo anything that is done now, since they will also have no filibuster to stop them?
Tish Levee
59:01
David & Ruth, in most of these states, helping someone with an incomplete miscarriage or an ectopic pregnancy will be considered an abortion and it would be illegal.
Roy Pardee
59:01
@David--it makes the already anti-democratic Senate even more so. But I don't think I'd press that while GOP was in control
David & Ruth Neal
01:00:05
Tish these laws are unconscionable and in humane.
Jeremy Chase
01:00:17
At David G: yes, probably. But unfortunately the “house is burning” now and we have to solidify what we can. Manchin & Cinema aren’t allowing that to happen.
Tish Levee
01:01:25
David & Ruth, Abslolutely yes. With no exception for the life of the mother, these are more than unconscionable.
Bob Findlay
01:01:26
This is such a dangerous backward "strategy" that has them literally funding hatespeech
Melvin Mackey
01:01:29
Horrible to support people you do not want!
Roy Pardee
01:01:51
LOL--in 2016 I actually hoped trump would win the GOP nom b/c he'd be so easy to beat...
Roy Pardee
01:02:06
(did not support him--to be clear)
Jeremy Chase
01:02:07
At David & Ruth: Roe v Wade was not just a landmark case but mandated each and every state to conform, regardless of religious beliefs. We are now at the point where religious beliefs have found their way into our doctors office and that is unacceptable.
Tish Levee
01:02:09

Julie Martinson
01:17:46
Sorry; there are more than 4: State Secretary of State candidates.
Tish Levee
01:18:48
@ Julie Martinson, the League of Women Voters has a breakdown about their views, I believe from a forum they conducted.Check out the League.
Glen Anderson
01:19:13
Julie Anderson is the most progressive candidate for Secretary of State. She is NON-PARTISAN, which is important because the SoS runs elections. Partisanship is a conflict of interest. She is Pierce County's NON-PARTISAN incumbent. She is doing well. The politically progressive people I know support her. I voted for her.
Judith Andress
01:21:22
Writing legislation to clean up the presidential transitional process. How are we going to individual who participate in anti- constitutional process held accountable Reform the election process. People should not have to stand in line vulnerable to anti-democractic elements away from job and family should be eliminated.

Absolutely !! Popular vote for President !

Washington State and some other states have passed laws committing to respect the National Popular Vote if enough other states also decide this too.

big money strategically bought campaigns in small states and media in small states, and were able to take over our outdated old political system
Paula Lee

Right Darrell and Ken! We were getting support for the National Popular. Vote Compact from Red states before Trump got elected. Now they are threatened by popular the vote. At the June League of Women Voters National Convention the delegates supported the LWVUS working on both the abolishment of the EC by amendment (which I personally believe is a waste of time..it will not happen)

Paula Lee
01:38:44
and also. the LWVUS will be working to help get the National Popular Vote Compact adopted
Bob Findlay
01:44:55
I'm good at guerilla theater, old school activist I was involved in Bread & Roses (San Francisco protest puppet theater troupe) etc. The part I am having a hard time with is that armed nationalists feel fully comfortable marching in public & I don't feel safe bringing a tambourine to a protest as it could get misconstrued as a "weapon" or "projectile" if I am thrown to the ground & it hits an officers foot. AZ and FL moving to criminalizing protests
Dwight Rousu
01:45:17
Right now if the election goes to the house, each state only gets one vote. Not a popular vote that way. Should give each representative a vote if we keep the house as the place of settling an election.
Glen Anderson

"Hope" is not a statistical probability that we will win. "Hope" is the recognition that WE HAVE A CHANCE of winning. It's all "up for grabs," so we need to organize smartly and strategically -- and keep pushing until we win. The problem of despair is that people feel disempowered. Besides "hope," we ALSO need EMPOWERMENT and SMART STRATEGIES toward BOLD GOALS.
