Thank you so much for this, Sen. Skinner. The Food Bank partnered with the County's Public Health Contact tracing team to provide emergency food boxes to those positive patients who shared that they didn't know how they were going to be able to eat or feed their families because of the financial pressures.

In Alameda County, Measure W will provide ongoing resources countywide to address homelessness -- housing navigation, sanitation and hygiene, counseling, support to stay housed, and employment training. Local money staying in Alameda County to help our unhoused neighbors! Prevention and support.

Keep Oakland Housed - is there a way for us to expand it?
Libby Schaaf (she/her/they)
01:20:17
I'm excited Oakland finally put some money in it because the initial philanthropic investment will run out this year. They've hired a sustainability consultant to chart the path to expand and sustain Keep Oakland Housed. It has been wildly successful and BACS in particular is creating new best practices for actually preventing homelessness.

What type of enforcement is there around eviction protection. Many of the mono-lingual families are being harassed by landlords b/c they don’t know about the moratorium or feel like their landlords are not abiding by the law. Thanks
