The only way we can win in 2022 is if Democrats actually accomplish some things. That means passing HR-1, The John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act, and both infrastructure bills which will demonstrate to citizens that Democrats deliver.

The partisan bungee cord will never let them vote for Democrats. As the time to actually vote becomes near, it tightens up and snaps them back into line and vote for the Republican candidate.

From, that is why Democrats needs to get things done because it will excite our base.

Exactly right, Robert. The failure of the Obama Admin to get really good things passed during his first year plus, is one of the main reason why the Dems were slaughtered during the 2010 midterms.

That led to our lost decade. We can’t have that again.

From Juan Vega - Recently I sent a copy of Fix Democracy First's YO VOTE! project Values & Commitments to every Democratic U.S. Senator & U.S. House of Representative, but not one of them took the time to respond even though the project will greatly help Democrats to get elected. I also sent the same copy to every State of Washington Senator and House of Representative and none of them responded. But, recently I've received several ask letters for donations.

I have found this to be a particularly depressing two weeks in politics.

I’d like to suggest looking at your own address to see how each of the four commissioner’s maps have the 4LD and the 4 CD effect YOU directly. Then decide which map you favor. It is easy to submit comment. Check the LWV maps at lwvwa.org.

The Republican maps really divide up communities.

Testifying, sending letters, emails, phone calls make a big difference. If they don't hear, they follow their own instincts, which sometimes is not good.

Are the four maps different? I saw that there is a map under all four members of the Washington State redistricting commission. I assumed all four maps were the same. There is set for Congressional and Legislative.

Spokane County is going from 3 to 5 commissioners so that's changing the map

Every commissioner's map is different.

Speaking of local redistricting: the 28th District has just gone all-Democratic. The Republican map changes make the district more Republican by adding some southern rural Pierce County areas. I don’t think Democrats benefit anywhere else from this change.
