TO clarify, there IS a draft SB Master Plan, which should be final and released by the end of 2020 (according to Cristin Kaviel - the AOE biologist)
Clark Stevens

The City Council motion is 20-1205. The City Clerk's description is: Motion (Martinez - O'Farrell) relative to instructing the Department of Recreation and Parks, in coordination with the Army Corp of Engineers and the County of Los Angeles, to report on developing a master plan for the Sepulveda Basin.

Gee wonder who suggested a pilot project of mustard?
Mark Osokow
01:07:37
Would it make sense to create a special account for the funds to be used for weed control by goats? Money could be deposited in advance for the purpose and used when needed.
Mark Osokow
01:09:00
Money could be deposited in the special account by NC's and NGO's.
Mark Osokow
01:10:42
If the project is not approved, the money in the special account can be returned.
Glenn Bailey
01:10:52
Funding from Neighborhood Councils: Perhaps could be eligible as a Community Improvement Project? If not, would need to be a Neighborhood Purposes Grant to a 501c(3) non-profit organization
Patricia Bates
01:16:24
Glenn - agreed! Either one of the §501(c)(3) orgs could manage or a fiscal sponsor for steering, but that would be complicated with the NC reps?
Bill Neill
01:30:41
From Mark's question -- who handles steering committee's finances?
Mark Osokow
01:31:14
San Fernando Valley Audubon handles consortium funds.
Ruth Doxsee
01:32:22
How much money does the consortium have? What is the source of these funds?

I think you would want to put in a recycled water system -- purple pipe.
George Waddell
01:46:21
Maybe Nury Martinez’ initiative could lead to funds for cleaning up the Reserve. Its nothing compared with the costs of the Olympics
Patricia Bates

If you have ever figured compound interest you will understand how scary the lettuce is...5% a day, doubles in less than 3 weeks
