I'm sorry I need to leave for a staff meeting, but I'll be watching the recording after! I had one question if there's time later-- will cards ever be issued with chips? I've heard people having trouble taking out their cash benefits at ATMs which only accept chipped cards. I don't know how large of a problem this is but I was curious. Thanks so much!

Where I grew up in the Northeast Kingdom, "food stamps" were for the "poor people" in town (and we were poor!) I think that mentality still exists, certainly out in the kingdom. There's also this persistent notion that people on food stamps use them to buy beer and cigarettes. How do we fight those ingrained biases, which are not based in fact?

This is a very helpful and respectful overview about this important program! I hope to share the recording with rising social work students soon! Thank you for this! Grateful for this social justice equity perspective imbedded in this overview
