From what I read it sounded as if Gorsuch did not read the evidence.

Maine anticipated the ruling and changed the funding of private schools to exclude those schools that discriminated against LGBTQ+ students.

Totally agree with Daniel! The only disruptions which Republicans and the establishment Dems (which is most of them) pay any attention to are economic and industrial ones. We MUST disrupt the economic system to have any power.

I agree that we are getting into the territory of general strikes and civil disobedience. Re gun violence: at some level, all of us Americans are ACCEPTING the status quo of weekly mass shootings if we do NOT challenge the status quo engaging in general strikes, civil disobedience.

I don't think there's any question that the destruction of private property (which I call mostly economic disruption, not violence--as a general rule) during the Black Lives Matter and George Floyd, etc protests had more effect on legislative and legal changes than anything else.

This Supreme Court has pretty much universally denied any human rights except to carry weapons in public.

The very vagueness of that point Ken, is what makes the Republicans so able to win elections based on it. They've framed the argument so that individuals (especially religious ones), feel no choice but to vote against all the rest of their best interests (which would hit many Dems positions), only for that one issue.
