Community-Based Monitoring is another application to support emergency response and other community outreach opportunities (e.g., DataStream platform and Water Ranger water testing kit to incorporate a citizen science component that can leverage administrative data from asset management systems).

Apologies, I have another meeting I need to attend. Thank you very much for the information. Most of this is very new to me and I look forward to being able to review the slides and increase my knowledge for the benefit of remote communities and related infrastructure solutions. In Alberta, there are a Metis and a First Nations Women's Economic Security Council who would be interested in a presentation and perhaps participating in sharing information. You can reach me at sandralsutter@gmail.com. Thank you again.

Finland has set up courses for citizens so that they can gain a better understanding of digital infrastructure and how it may or may not benefit them at the local level (e.g., https://buildingai.elementsofai.com/)

Get municipal staff involved with secondary (community-based monitoring) and postsecondary capstone or collaborative research projects).
Jonathan

Stats Canada could in partnership with rural municipal GIS and Public Works staff and other human service providers like 211Ontario that uses 211 standardized taxonomy to address a specific sustainability challenge. Here is an example in my rural community one hour east of Toronto https://drive.google.com/file/d/1dj-7piVQEJgnqXCO0YkCgevflyOokKJN/view?usp=sharing

Keep in mind that the 444 municipalities in Ontario and the others across other jurisdictions have limited fiscal space to explore how to use this data to support sustainable development. I like the boot camp approach. Great webinar.
