Thank you for such a well organized, inspiring week!!!

27:05
Thank you for such a well organized week!!!It's the first time in a long time where I felt like I was taking part in a FORCE- a force for the betterment of our delicate democracy.

29:13
this was my first time attending and really enjoyed the workshops and meeting with legislators! very informative and really appreciate the recordings of workshops I missed and copy of the chats. Thank you for your great work this week!!!

29:28
Same here

30:17
Same same! My work hijacked my ability to attend any of the meetings live, so I am so grateful for the recordings and will watch them this weekend.

30:23
We need a dance floor!

30:38
Yes we do!

31:25
First time for me too! I'm very impressed and very proud to have been a part of the LWV!!!!!

31:27
What a week!

32:06
I've been to a social event like this through the GatherTown platform. It's the closest approximation to being in a bar I've seen online.

32:13
What a great job Cindy and Kathy have done as well as many others. Bravo!

Recordings of all Democracy Lobby Week programs available at – https://lwvwa.org/DLW-ScheduleThe recordings will also be posted on the LWVWA’s YouTube channel and on Fix Democracy First’s Past Events page next week.

36:04
Thanks for an engaging program. Sorry I could not make all of them, but I hope to go back and watch some that I missed.

36:36
And some of us still have leg appoints coming up!

38:50
Thank you Kathy and Cindy for the outstanding job on this event. I learned new things and revisited things I’d forgotten. I appreciated my visit with my very conservative Representative Chandler. I am signing off now because we are at the final moments of a death in our family. But I wanted to say thank you.

39:29
Could not attend the daily sessions but VERY grateful to have the opportunity to lobby our 4th LD Reps and Sen. Really great experience and insights #whysheran :)

41:26
THANK YOU all so much - really enjoyed the Redistricting session!

42:02
Thank you and good=bye.

42:22
I look forward to doing it again IN PERSON next year.

43:26
Thank you Kathy and Cindy!! Wonderful job!!!

43:34
It was really great to have LWVUS staff included in speaking at sessions this week!

47:46
Excellent job once again of adapting to difficult circumstances and creating a great event.

48:15
This should be available to the general public!

52:51
Thanks all. I’m off to my next meeting.

59:49
Y'all are doing great at technology wrangling.

01:00:06
Advisory vote has gotten a ton of opposition from Tim Iman folks so it was said to be highly unlikely to pass when we met with our senator this morning

01:01:11
we have a senator on Rules, her LA told us about all the emails, so we pushed our own local letter writing campaign with a call to over 40 members in her district.

01:01:40
That's great, Jackie!!

01:01:58
also for RCV.

Cindy or anyone else—where is HB1156 Local Options Bill right now?

01:05:27
If you prefer going into breakout rooms, let us know.

01:05:32
Do you know who pulled the RCV from Rules?

01:07:09
Army of Darkness

01:07:44
Rep. Lauren Davis in the 32nd said that she has received "hundreds" of Tim Eyman and friends. She specifically asked that we rally our folks to turn the tide of emails.

01:08:18
*hundreds of emails

01:09:42
Do we need to contact Rep Davis from across the state in support of RCV? Or only from her district?

01:10:08
I’d love to hear an update from anyone who was able to attend the Stanford, Kloba, or Duerr meetings. Work completely hijacked my attendance.

01:11:16
Sorry -- Rep. Davis was talking about advisory votes, not RCV. All our legislators want to get rid of advisory votes.

01:11:28
Every Senator is getting inundated by the Eyeman peeps. It's worth it to contact them all. Pedersen told us he's gotten them.

Thanks Jeanne Crevier - I wondered if that was about advisory votes - more of an Eyman issue.

I mean contact your Senator about advisory votes- Pedersen told us this morning it might be in trouble because of those emails.

01:14:53
I plan to post some info on the bills on FB. Are there any requirements/restrictions to posting links? I don’t think most people know what these bills are about or really mean. Thanks!

Thanks to all. I feel reenergized. Loved the success story from Ellie Hutton…….way to go! I appreciate you all. Got to go.

01:18:55
Will there be a summary of legislative links for each of the bills? I can find them to post but if they’ll be summarized in one spot that would be great.

01:21:38
Fix Democracy First Legislation Page - https://www.fixdemocracyfirst.org/legislation

01:21:54
It’s not current at the moment, but will be soon.

01:22:23
where will all the chats, with links posted in them, be found after the end of lobby day?

01:22:52
Jeanne M. Crevier wrote a wonderful article in our February "Voter" for the LWVSC (Snohomish County) on Inclusion and Nonpartisanship! I highly recommend it for all to see.

01:23:31
You can view the chats through the recording link posted at – https://lwvwa.org/DLW-Schedule

01:25:59
How do you get the debrief meeting? Our meeting with Sen. Saldaña abruptly without really a goodbye, and we had to reach out via email to confirm that the note taker had .the information she needed for submitting a report. We had a few minutes after the Santos meeting which was nice. It would be great if that could be added to all.

01:26:51
All, every session has been illuminating and illustrative. I am excited about going forward with you. But I have to go. All the best and enjoy your weekend.

01:33:25
Becky, I loled!

01:33:50
Yes!

01:34:30
I don't think that folks know about the cost of advisory votes

01:34:31
Loved Lobby Week! Thanks so much to Kathy and Cindy et al -- lots of work, we're very grateful.

01:34:31
I only became aware of Advo

01:36:45
I only became aware of Advisory Notes when I joined the League a few years ago, and still do not understand what they are. Is there a document somewhere that explains everything about them?

01:37:11
Question, did this one pass out of committee, nor not?

01:38:46
Did anyone get pushback on RCV?

01:39:18

I imagine it is scanned and forwarded, but likely slow

01:45:13
Thanks for a great session!

01:47:07
Yes, Anne, I have heard that as well even from members. But, do we want to revisit the last legislative session votes on all issues on the ballot? It seems that it might be less expensive to figure out how to set up a website that sets up a simple way that could categorize the last session voting record on different issues.

01:49:22
Great video!

01:49:27
The one good thing about T admin is it certainly brought out the vote!

I also loved the kahoot we did last night!

01:52:28
I missed a bunch so will wait to answer your more detailed survey and I've had a chance to catch up

01:53:04
I really appreciated that I could go to the recordings of meetings I didn't attend. I didn't realize I needed to learn about RCV until after the meeting was held.

01:53:10
I didn't get to many and will be watching later

01:54:17
I am so excited about Citizen Initiative Review. I can't believe I hadn't heard about it before.

01:54:52
Also since I was late to the meeting from being at the League office, I didn't do the first poll.

01:54:57
Yes, I agree - a great idea that's perfect for the League to get behind.

01:55:40
I'm more likely to call my legislators on a regular basis.

01:55:52
I am positive about the Citizen Initiative Review, should have put that in my positive comment.

01:55:54
Promote the US HB and Sen bill 1

01:56:16
watch the bills! contact my legs help others know whats going on

01:56:16
Everything I attended was invaluable. I’ve always referred to League of Women Voters if I ever wasn’t sure about a ballot. I’d like to volunteer for the CIR & I’ll be asking friends to respond to bills on the legislative site.

01:56:34
Will sign up for legislative bill alerts to be able to track bills

01:56:42
I’m going to follow The Voter more closely and comment on every bill.

01:58:24
I really loved the ally-ship session. Great participants with good information.

01:58:29
Will continue to be a "pen pal" with all my district legislators throughout the year. The legislative bill alerts are a big help.

01:58:43
Really appreciated the DEI/Nonpartisan session with LWVUS staff and board member, to be able to have our own conversation with them

I wish there was voting rights for homeless. You can

02:05:45
homeless can vote. I put together docs for people who work with the homeless in Clark County to help them register and help people vote.

02:06:32
We went to a shelter for people who are homeless and held social-distanced voter registration last October.

02:06:34
I am starting a legislative accountability group in our LD to track and share the voting records of our local representatives. Has anyone done something similar?

02:06:57
Regarding ally-ship: so critical that more of us make our tents bigger, Easy to say but hard to do without "stories" that make it real. Great session.

02:07:48
I loved the auditor conversations!

02:09:03
Library too

02:09:19
Homeless issues are my current passion.

02:09:24
their address can be an intersection, under the i5 bridge and 78th, as long as they have somewhere they can get mail

02:09:35
My dad always told me to use General Mail if I found myself without an address. He did it in his 20s. Taught me a lot of lessons that ended up keeping me off the street.

02:10:55
Want to thank everyone for such an excellent presentation! I learned a lot which will help me in my work for homles

02:11:04
What an outstanding experience this week has been for me. I never get away from work to attend in Olympia, but this was a winner! Thank you for your hard work to all the organizers.

02:11:23
Thank you again for everything. I have to leave now. Great job.

02:12:08
More of us probably would have been more active, but it's hard when we had to work multiple jobs for most of our 20s and 30s.

02:12:52
Yes, now that I am retired I can be more vocal and active in political actions!

02:13:59
What efforts can we support to make LWV more inclusive and diverse?

02:14:19
Speak Up Schools - https://lwvwa.org/speakup

02:15:17
I know I'm an anomaly in a lot of these groups, as someone who has had politics as my intense focus since youth, so I tend to speak up a lot cause there's not many representing my demographics.

The positive of the terrible year of 2020, we were forced to learn how to use Zoom and the internet technology!

02:17:01
As someone who has worked event coordination, I feel your exhaustion! Y'all did so well.

02:18:03
It's so cheap for the attendees!

It is definitely good for those of us in eastern washingotn

My mother grew up in the silent generation, raised her family in the era of the Kennedy Camelot, burned her bra, and took me to my first political rally with Shirley Chishom in 1972. I just donated to LWV in her honor, and I'm excited for our future for my feminist grandsons.

02:25:40
Thanks for the conversations!

Thank you!
