Good point Kellie. Logistically, we have a weekly Zoom staff meeting with all members on Thursdays and a weekly email that goes out on Fridays.

That sounds like a really great team building activity:)

we have done a ropes course for our members in initial training.

I didn't get to talk much about this, but in terms of weekly check-ins/update meetings, something we have found really successful is assigning a member each month to be "in charge" of at least one of those weekly meetings, to really give them a sense of responsibility about what is happening in the program. We think it builds ownership. (So that person keeps in closer touch with me during that month to make sure we are all on the same page.) We also try to establish, early on, teams for different things we have to accomplish during the year: Volunteer Trainings, Service Projects, Community Outreach events, Recognition events, etc. This happened as a result of survey results, when people felt overwhelmed at feeling like they had to be involved in every single aspect of the program.
