Great Job Panel members. I like the fact that everyone is involved in creating continued solutions to support students through extended wrap around services. Thanks Adam for your work not only at Indian Creek but DCSD. You ROCK!

Greetings All, My question/statement is this…Thank you all for participating in this webinar and providing this information. I am the President of UNA-Atlanta, I’m considered an essential worker as I work for Ga Dept. of Defense in Public Affairs working 24/7, I’m a mother of a 5 year old, Dad is a truck driver which makes me a single mom, no family around as they all live in other states and I operate a nonprofit for single moms…I say all this to say, when Chinita and Patrick spoke on parents cresting “pandemic pods” and how we as parents need to wait on schools to design these arenas… how can we wait when we’re all alone? The moms I know we are already trying to see who is the mom with the less workload who can help us…what do you suggest we do? Busy moms like me have been waiting for a long time for a solution. We don’t want our kids going into schools because of pandemic BUT I don’t know what to do?

Thank you @Judy! I will look at that! A Clarkston connection, Luma Mufleh with Fugees Family was a CNN Hero a few years back, so I LOVE that program…amazing people!

Jobs are demanding some of us to return in office Patrick do you know if GDOE and maybe the Dept of Economics are working together to speak to companies about relaxing their demand to return to work because of virtual learning.

The wait is for the parents who have the means and are struggling with creating diverse pods. For urgency purposes I would try finding some of the Facebook groups who are now organizing.
