On another topic (before I have to go) --The governor signed HB 1769 to sunset "Community Municipal Corporations"! Thanks for your support! 440 people signed on "Pro" before the hearing in the Senate committee. Two amendments were rejected. The bill passed with bipartisan support and comfortable margins.The Houghton (Kirkland) and East Bellevue Community Municipal Corporations will sunset in four months, which means that residents in Kirkland and Bellevue will have equal say in city planning, no matter what neighborhood we live in, for the first time in over 50 years.(The city councils of Kirkland and Bellevue will need to decide how to proceed in regards to differences in code between the CMC jurisdictions compared to the rest of each city.)

Should the census and redistricting be done more often than once a decade, given the greater rate of change 100 years after a decade was set as the interval?

Lets get outreach going in high schools of underrepresented areas now; those students will be our young activists in 10 years
