Karyl Kaye Miller

What are the options to create a State Plan that is affordable. I was advised by financial advisor to start but the cost was in the thousands for a will and state planing when I met with lawyer. Someone advised me through Dave Ramsey, to start with https://www.mamabearlegalforms.com/ or legal zoom. I have 4 children and def interested on getting that done.

Will question - who or what entity can serve as an executor if you don’t have or don’t want family members as executors? If the person you name as executor doesn’t choose to take on the role, does probate handle it?
Karyl Kaye Miller
53:21
If anyone has a question for Meredith during her presentation, feel free to ask in chat and I can pass it along live. Meredith will be talking for about 15 minutes.

IS it correct - that if the Irrevocable Life Insurance Trust is not using income from the trust, it is not a Grantor Trust? thank you

01:17:58
sorry for asking late, but why is it important to meet the deadline of the "bill passing"? thanks
Karyl Kaye Miller
01:18:47
Thank you both for the follow up questions. Like Nathan suggested we will approach those at the end of the presentation now.
Marla Moulder

Maybe a silly question - I have a special needs child, years ago we established a special needs trust when we did our wills (all need to be updated). In 2017 I founded a non-profit in honor of our daughter. Is this something we could use as our charity for estate planning, or is there any reason we could not since I am the founder (just making sure there is not anything considered as “conflict of interest”)

(1) if the premiums for Life Insurance policies in ,Irrevocable Life Insurance Trust (ILIT), are paid from non ILIT trust, ILIT in this case is not a Grantor Trust (2) In this case do not fall under the category in the 'bill to be passed' mentioned earlier , thank you
Karyl Kaye Miller
01:29:08
Not silly at all Marla. When Nathan opens up for questions again we will ask.
