Hi Tim. Does your model allow the client group to bring their own architect?
Decisions by majority and special majority - Why this? Doesn't this mean that a minority of members are continually unhappy with the result? Although far slower ,would decisions by consensus lead to more satisfaction?
Please mute Lenka
How does the resident group share/reallocate the cost of land if only some buy the land together and other residents join later?
Catherine van Wilgenburg
How many bedrooms
Hi everyone, could you mute your microphones? Thanks.
Q: What is your level of expertise in delivering energy efficient projects? , i.e. achieving high performance homes / low-energy consumption / passivhaus?
Good question, Henrik. I'm interested in high performance homes from a low energy point of view. Not so interested in reaching Passivhaus accreditation.
Being 'deliberative' in some ways is in common with cohousing, but I hear no mention of desire to be 'living collaboratively' and this informing the design. Please explain.
Go Moreland 👏🏼👏🏼
Fingers crossed for Banyule!
What reasons do prospective members have to come to you? Mostly attracted by lower cost or collaborative design or ???
Thanks Tim. I will be in touch. Diane
Great question re rural locations! We are working with organic farmers regionally - who are keen to explore housing and farmland. So keen to keep the conversation around food, housing and work is paramount.
Super keen to help with the farming and housing conversations Tim. (have some good planners very interested in this).
I'm interested in Western Victoria Carolyn.
:-) Great discussions. Very informative presentation. Thanks for this, Tim & Crew.
Such an important discussion …. we need more of you Tim! And yes - Vin, to address the high cost of entry (regional housing) and exploring ways that this could be presented to local Governments. It’s a complex scenario … but housing, food security, and employment beyond this…
Thanks folks, I will be on contact next week Tim if that’s ok when I’m in Melbourne. Ngaire
will there be fibre to the premises and what other facilities would there be to carry out a business from the premises?
Thanks everyone. Great discussion. I need to get going. Tim, look forward to following up. And Andy, I'm coming to the event on Friday night. Look forward to hearing more.
Thank you both Tims, Andy and John. Very interesting presentation. I will contact you re the Nillumbik project - I’d love to make contact with them.
Thanks Tims, Andy and everyone for more food for thought.
