I watched the performance assessment for the math competency. There was so much relevance in what they were were doing and it was pointed out that one student was able to retain the information easily in the next school year. I also like that it was done as a class project without adding additional work to get the competency completed.

Sandy and I talked some about the need for healing in this time - students and adults. This work can help create space and bridge for healing

Brandon Wright, Kim Jenkins, Chris Juarez and myself talked about how important it is to honor our student's lived experience (both positive and negative) that contributed to their learning during the pandemic. How can we draw out that learning and build on it? How can we embed performance assessments into remote learning experiences? How can we capitalize on remote learning and student's experience to transform the assessment / learning feedback loop?
