I am struggling with how we can promote youth employment with the funding in December and execution by February (2 months later). Students are obviously still in school and the lead time is generally several months. Is there a piece that we’re missing?
Leslie Groulx
09:15
What is the age criteria for youth? some call youth from 15 to age 30...
Leslie Groulx
12:39
IF funds are not approved until Nov 20th for example the challenge to promote shopping local starts then that only give 3 + months to setup, implement and complete the campaign.... this is quick!!

Samantha Scholefield
20:15

Samantha Scholefield
32:49

Leslie Groulx
35:19
if we do want to add support letters is there a field to be able to upload the document?
Jerrilyn Kirk she/her Tumbler Ridge Chamber
35:37
I have noticed a lot of questions about number or members in the Chamber and number of people served with this campaign….we are in the north where we just don’t have as many people as they do in the south…that is one of the reasons our small businesses struggle. Will small chambers in small communities be considered on an equal ground as large chambers? Small Chambers face many unique challenges such as lack of funding so this opportunity in a small, remote chamber seems like hitting the lottery. We just don’t have a “large economic region”
Louise Walker (she/her)
36:24
Some of the metrics are hard to estimate until you have budget and completed your media buy (e.g. the reach of ad-buys). How much weighting is applied to this section in the application review?
Katherine Worsley
36:36
we have a lot of high school students available and other youth completed their high school, other youth that are taking time off before continuing university, college, etc..

One idea that came across our desk was creating a pop-up retail location for small businesses in our region (Kamloops and Thompson-Nicola Region) to utilize during the holiday season and in the New Year set up in our downtown core. The pop-up retail would ideally be a repurposed shipping container. I see this as a marketing component. Would that be eligible?
Daniel holden
40:08
Can the program be for chamber businesses only or need to be all businesses
Louise Walker (she/her)
42:10
What percentage can go to salaries? I think I missed this.
Samantha Scholefield
45:03
As the BC Restaurant and Foodservices Association, we work across the province
Cory Redekop
46:28
Can you clarify what "partnership development" means in the expenses field? There had been mention earlier of a small portion allowable to cover the admin/internal costs of applicants, where would this go?
Katherine Worsley
46:29

Leslie Groulx
50:01
or would that be a professional fees as a contract?
Michele Hamilton
50:53
Can an organization be involved in more than one funding submission?
Leslie Groulx
52:40
this is a question because we are a 100% volunteer organization at this point but are suffering significantly from loss of international tourism, downturn in the forest industry due to major licencee mill closure and COVID
Anita Lawrence
52:52
it seems that you have a choice to either get set up graphically for a new campaign or actually run the campaign during this timeline
Katherine Worsley
53:54

Jerrilyn Kirk she/her Tumbler Ridge Chamber
57:14
It seems a little like a horse race to get in ….and in the North we have a super slow horse called Slow Internet so we are riding at a disadvantage. We don’t do well in races 🙂
Lori Davenport
57:33
