No, not a trick question. The post office continues to tell us the green return receipt is ONLY for certified mail, not registered mail. They refuse to send it or add it to the mailing going registered mail.

@Michael, both my husband and I have come across that. Both of our Revocation letters for the Internal Revenue Service were received, but we did not receive the return receipt.

The green card for domestic mailing only lists a box for Registered Mail and Registered Mail Restricted Delivery there's also a box for Signature confirmation Restricted Delivery I've personally checked the box for Registered Mail Restricted delivery and signature conformation restricted delivery also the Post Office has a book wherein we can record the registered mil and have the book post marked at the same time you mail the post. I don't know if they still use the latter as the last time I sent registered mail was 1999
