[on the equality/equity/justice] Are there any tools would you recommend to determine the levels of support needed?

Hi Constance, the equality/equity/justice image is available in many different variants: https://www.google.com/search?q=equality+equity+justice&client=firefox-b-d&tbm=isch&source=iu&ictx=1&fir=Cl0KPmjLjdXkfM%252C6HnAgodRFb27FM%252C_&vet=1&usg=AI4_-kSGDDv_Cs5tMddw8ewYI-aAARP1PA&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwicouyXvcrrAhWC2uAKHTWrAKYQ9QF6BAgKECk&biw=1920&bih=976#imgrc=Cl0KPmjLjdXkfM

Thank you @Heiko!

Thank you for pointing out the risk of doing gender “accommodating” in the case of ANC to women who are experiencing intimate partner violence where there is unequal power between the couple.

Thank you all, great answers, I was thinking of tools that could be integrated in training sessions etc. I will definitely be looking more into the tools you mentioned and sent for gender analysis

Is the checklist mentioned available online?
Gabriela LS
01:13:31
Yes it is
Patricia Mechael
01:14:13
We can share the checklist afterwards.
Adam Preston
01:14:41
Great. Thanks!
Alice Liu
01:15:24
Questions is: Where have you seen gender positively integrated in your work?
Steve GDHN
01:15:41
Please raise your hand if you'd like to contribute an example - either a positive example of gender being integrated or an example of where Gender was not considered
Gabriela LS
01:16:57
@Adam Preston - here’s the link for the Gender Marker by CARE mentioned by Elisabeth. https://insights.careinternational.org.uk/images/in-practice/Gender-marker/care_gender_marker_external_comms-1.pdf

Talking about intersectionality, a point around the use of the term "Gender Blind" in the Tool. This is ableist language. An alternative term to use is "gender unaware".
Karen Breeck
02:05:59
In Canada - its now government policy to use GBA+ - gender based analysis that requires an intersectionality approach. There is a free online introduction course. https://cfc-swc.gc.ca/gba-acs/index-en.html
Alice Liu
02:06:39
There's age discrimination against older people in the tech sector, but I see this less in the development sector.
Karen Breeck
02:06:48
The actual course is at https://cfc-swc.gc.ca/gba-acs/course-cours-en.html
Gabriela LS
02:07:12
Thank you Karen
Patricia Mechael
02:07:19
Thanks for sharing that. This is an important aspect of the movement and change that is needed.
Heiko Hornung
02:08:33
Taking any single lens often if not always leads to reductionist "solutions". Inclusive design/design for all might be an interesting framework. This also adds "non-users", e.g. in the data case study, if the program had included men, did sensitization with community leaders, etc., it might have been set on the transformative track
Patricia Mechael
02:09:15
Thanks, Heiko.
