My Meeting: Distance Learning with Text Books - Shared screen with speaker view

It takes 4x as long for students to respond on line.
Do you zoom with your students to dot this?
Do you spend any time with student 1:1 going over their writing, for example.
Susan, one of the things you do in your face-to-face classes is projects with students (for example, All About Me using Google Slides). Do you think you will try doing projects like that via distance learning?
If you had to start using a "book" from the start for an online class, would it have been as easy as it was b/c the students had already experience with it.
Hi Susan, do all your students have laptops or Chromebooks? Or are they connecting to class on their phones?
It sounds like the text book is a really great anchor for the class and you've doing a great job with extension acitivities!
Like Pat, I am wondering about how new students would get up to speed with all of this...
Hi all. I am Joan's assistant. Will be sending an evaluation out soon. "progresolatino" could you identify yourself please :-)
Did you need technology training to get to this point, and if so, how many hours on average before you started to feel comfortable as a teacher? (for planning purposes)
Are you using a platform like usalearns.org?
