Question: Data breach is one area but also Identity Theft typically occurs typically at the same type. Do nonprofits also fall under the 3 identifiable pieces of information rule to be considered under Identity Theft, requiring customers/employee notifications? (New York specifically)

Apologies if this is too off-topic: can you speak to data retention policies - especially with respect to contractual provisions with 3rd party vendors - as part of data security. For example, seeking to contractually obligate a platform provider to retain (how long?) access and/or audit/activity logs (i.e., separate form the data or back-ups themselves). Any model policies/language? many thanks.
