Have you guys reached out to all the water utilities that are on the list you guys provided?
Dan Elliott
23:22
@Courtney: Not all 2000.No. We will and are working with the representing associations(much the same as the COU associations). Outreach is the critical part. They have already been spreading the word with their members. The OPUC will help us with the private regulated utilities as well. We also have LOC assisting as well.
Mid Columbia Community Action Kasey Buckles
38:35
Are we allowed to leave any kind of credit? Or only the current balance?
Katie May
48:10
This used to be an option several years ago on the Landlord letter for LIHEAP wasn't it?
Jessica Marpe
01:15:27
Increased Server/Network assistance for electronic files now that we are mostly remote?
Courtney Keating
01:15:28
I would like a meeting where CAA and water companies are at the same table.
Connie Johnson
01:15:41
I am awaiting Joy's vendor letter. We would like to start contacting vendors sooner rather than later.
Connie Johnson
01:18:29
Is OPUS going to start tracking monthly usage?
Sheri Gutierrez
01:19:17
Will OHCS be entering all vendors into OPUS?
Joy Aldrich (OHCS)
01:22:22
We will be working with OPUS. I anticipate that we will use the same intake process as LIHEAP. For the data, OCS has not requested specific data at this point, because this is considered an emergency program.
Joy Aldrich (OHCS)
01:22:47
Essentially, agencies will be able to perform intake for energy and water assistance at the same time.
Jennifer Skinner
01:23:48
Will we be able to use one application for a energy & water payment?
Brandi Adams
01:25:45
I've only heard back from two vendors that we're already established with. Most contacts on the excel file were with water maintenance and not billing so there has been a lot of passing around.
Jessica Hlavinka
01:27:21
How will this work if a utility administers both water and electric to a client. Can we issue LP and LIHWA to the same account number?
Jennifer Skinner
01:34:44
Is the timeline still that funding will begin for the new program year in October?
Mid Columbia Community Action Kasey Buckles
01:36:03
Lots of open communication
Dan Elliott
01:37:08
@ Jennifer: WE are hoping that is what OCS is planning to do that which would be ideal for administration of LIHWA and LIHEAP at the federal level.. Once our application letter is in --we do not know how long they will take to approve and award us.
Courtney Keating
01:39:27
This money needs to be spent by 9/30/23, correct? Can we rollover any amount from PY22 to PY23? Or will it be like LIHEAP where we can only rollover 10%?
Courtney Keating
01:42:44
Joy- you mentioned 'one-time emergency payment' does that mean if someone gets a LIHWA payment in November 201, they can not get another payment between then and September 2023?
Courtney Keating
01:43:25
oops Nov 2021 is what I meant
Connie Johnson
01:44:40
Mostly concerned about getting our vendors engaged. CSC has 85 vendors in 3 counties. Seems a bit overwhelming when we think about it.
Jessica Marpe
01:46:19
will this be a separate module in OPUS, or will this still be shown as Energy?
Joy Aldrich (OHCS)
01:46:52
I will make certain to have the utility greeting letter template out as soon as possible. Thank you!
Joy Aldrich (OHCS)
01:47:09
Jess, I will confirm this during my meeting internally regarding OPUS.
Brandi Adams
01:49:51
Thanks!
Katie May
01:49:59
Thank you!
Tenisha Waugh
01:50:02
My takeaway from today's meeting is I'm glad the process is so similar to LIHEAP. There is a lot that is still unknown, which makes it nerve racking with the start date approaching. We will get through this as a team. I personally feel more confident just knowing more now after this meeting, than I did prior.
Mid Columbia Community Action Kasey Buckles
01:50:06
Key takeaway is that we need to get issues ironed out but this should be a great program once that happens. Next steps are waiting for the clarifications on the sticky issues. Thank you!
Sheri Gutierrez
01:51:28
I agree with you Dan!!!!
Sheri Gutierrez
01:52:36
