Any quest- just add them here...
how many clubs are doing this across the country and what other clubs near Guildford?
Is this in addition to the ‘Friday’ evening training sessions?
This sounds great and I'm very supportive. However, I'm just wondering what we can do for kids who just miss out on selection? Wouldn't want kids dropping out of hockey because they feel a failure if they haven't been selected. Need to ensure that the culture values other players too.
This sounds excellent and there is an amazing coaching team which is unrivalled
One thing AC/PC etc has given is the chance to play with individuals from other clubs - will this still work in the new structure?
Will there still be team matches?
Really thinks this is an awesome initiative and will only grow -in time - as this takes off do you have platform to bring in more coaches as it grows? Will it roll out to schools ?
How will the programme manage over training / commitments of rising stars?
Excellent program. When will the trials take place? And the year groups - are these for girls already in year 9? or going into year 9 this September (2021)?
Is the boys day fixed for Thursday, as could result in possible overload if they play thurs/fri/sat/sun ?
Will older players be able to play/ be expected to play senior hockey and how will that fit in with school hockey?
Can we give brief details of the program and the coaches (everyone will be v impressed!) to our age groups now to publicise it?
A comment: There are lots of very driven, competitive people around Guildford/Godaming! As I'm sure you know, one of the potential problems is around parents attitude towards this. Its really important that as a club, we focus on children enjoying their hockey, not on whether they make it into the elite group.
Will we arrange matches for the future stars program vs other strong teams/how can we mirror county or PC match intensities?
Will there be some coaching again (1-2-1 or group) during the summer to help keep the training going …
Thank you very much, we are incredibly lucky to have such a great group of coaches and to be at the forefront of this new way of doing things. I think it will be much easier for parents and less tiring for kids doing things locally, rather than having to travel to county and beyond.
Thanks Dan and Beckie. Really exciting of the future for both my kids.
Fantastic initiative, we are very supportive and great for GHC to be the pioneers. Big thanks to you all for all efforts.
Thank you can’t wait for the program will be a tremendous success Jason
