There will be a 15 minute Q&A session following presentations.
Gatto Act perhaps?
Will the community accept some - minimal - income generation?
What are sea-level rise considerations for early-design / reuse ideas?
I am curious to learn more about the bay-level rise maintenance fund the Potrero project is paying into.
Curious how significant the panel sees climate change and water level rise effects as an on-going issue for these sites moving forward...is it just an engineering/money issue?
To all speakers - how does a city manage smaller waterfront sites - what's he best approach for neighboring property owners - including public agencies - come together?
Just a general observation. I am finding that opponents of redevelopment now bring climate change is as a blocker to the project. They lift up how this would preclude the development issue where I have pitched back (as said in this group) that there are exciting adaptive development approaches.
Riveting discussion - hate to see it end!
Couldn't agree more Ignacio! Continue the conversation on Whova and reach out to speakers directly to learn more.
Really appreciate the perspectives and discussion. Great speakers and projects highlighted. Shout out to Mary and Neil -- they are the best!
More of a statement, but I see opportunity with these projects to incorporate mitigative measures to protect coastal aquifers from sea water intrusion effects...big problem in the SGMA world now for many coastal basins. Could be a win-win for many. Great thought provoking discussion! Thanks!
Great session! Very useful information concerning waterfront development. Thanks!
