Hi!
PJ Shoulders - SAA

Hi Jeff!
Kathleen Sihler

Our challenge is May 2022 faculty led programs. We have cancelled multi-country intls, allowing one-country "home base" models with strong provider support. Greater challenge in some ways now domestic faculty led - rules are more nuanced, no travel insurance policy, etc.
Jeffrey Foot

Thanks Kathleen - can you expand on the nuanced rules?

We at Worcester State just created a working group cross functional with risk, academic affairs, and the IPO to assess group int'l and domestic travel requests...whether FLP or otherwise.

RE: the poll. I would actually choose 1 and 2. If not using a provider, we have a policy that students are required to use. If using a provider, then they'd enroll in that plan.

Hello from W&J College outside Pittsburgh, PA. We have room to grow our faculty training. If there are resources anyone could share, that would be great. Thanks!

yes
Trinda Guillet
51:53
We are. It is a requirement to be on campus as of Jan. 1 so it filters down to being a requirement to be part of our study abroad programs.
Sarah Barr
52:44
We have a requirement similar to Trinda’s but it’s possible for students to file an exemption (religious, health)
Laura Brannon
52:45
Exactly - we can't as a state institution, but since the program is optional we can place additional requirements there.
Kathleen Sihler

We learned that our insurance carrier ADDED quarantine rider several weeks AFTER we finalized our policy, so we are renegotiating. But learned by luck of the option.
Laura Brannon
55:04
We are looking at a positive COVID faculty stay behind waiver because the insurance policy will not cover faculty stay behind.
PJ Shoulders - SAA
58:41
Oh that's interesting Laura - very good point about faculty having to stay behind
Kathleen Sihler

Costa Rica: I thought that $2000 requirement was dropped earlier this fall. It is back in place?
Kathleen Sihler
01:11:45
how is "deposit" defined for the CFAR/IFAR? We place the total cost of the FLP on the student bill in December. They have until March to pay.
Kathleen Sihler
01:13:29
advice on managing the domino of sick student in one place w/ staff member who stays to assist, then sick student in next location, etc.?
Kathleen Sihler
01:15:16
are insurance companies offering domestic travel insurance group products that cover some of the standard elements of intl group policies?
Sarah Barr
