Is this limited to agencies, not 'for profits'? Or can not-for-profits work with for profit businesses to seek funding support?

51:06
I am not familiar with the charges you referenced. I will wait and see what the presenters share about funding sources and see if there is any alignment. Thank you.

Heidi, some of our smaller grants and some of the larger contributions to the crowd fund campaigns, especially the one for construction of off-bike features, came from private businesses. Some came from private individuals.

Is that bike policy available to read?

Hi Traci - you can refer to the 2020 RTP grant manual for our existing policy on bike parks and other skill building facilities. It will be slightly revised for the 2021 manual (posted before April 1). You or anyone else are welcome to contact me with questions specific to your project.

@Linda, I was wondering who is eligible to receive funding? We (Mt. Hood Meadows) are working on developing publicly accessible (no fee) hiking trails and are seeking support for the expenses, including trail signs and interpretive signs.

In Region 6 there are a range of partners that the FS is working with to implement GAOA. At the Regional level we are looking at opportunities to invest in partners that have the ability to work across multiple National Forests across the State while individual National Forests are working with partner groups at the local level.

GAOA can not directly fund post fire recovery rehab.

Jon-Paul, the main things I would say, in retrospect, about crowd funding is that takes a lot more time and energy than you can imagine -- and much of this MUST be done prior to launching the campaign. I think it's also important to select a platform that has experience working with crowd funding for nonprofits because the techniques and requirements are quite different than for private business crowd funding efforts. Another key word is NETWORKING, NETWORKING, NETWORKING. It helps to have people on your organizing committee who represent many different "circles" of influence in the community, in order to spread the word far and wide

01:49:49
Another bit of advice -- these projects take time. The Gateway Green project reinforced my life motto (patient persistence). You need to give

01:51:16
Tourism funding (when not impacted by a pandemic) could also be a good source for public trails on private land (both the state program and local RDMO funding)
