that Aaron Douglas mural is one of 4 murals he did for the 135th street library, now the Schomburg Center, entitled "Aspects of Negro Life: From Slavery through Reconstruction. The other 3 from this series is Aspects of Negro Life: Song of the Towers, The Negro in an African Setting and an Idlyll of the Deep South
