01:00:52
Powerful poem.

01:06:26
Fabulous poem! Beautiful reading, I was travelling visually with it. ‘In another town the air appears to be dyed red’ ‘ the way we have become, far too accepting to the devastation around us’ - the images go on and on between pauses. ‘All I can do is be there silent and sad my hand on my sons shoulder” Thank you.

01:18:10
Thanks for reminding us about the courage that immigration requires. Thinking of all the children who have crossed the southern border in the past few years--just to be imprisoned.

01:20:33
Another beautiful poem. So visual. Sorry I have to go, wish I could wait. I’m going to bed now, as I’m working early. This was beautiful. Hope I meet you all again. Thank you all. xx

01:20:54
This poem is more amazing every time I hear it.

01:20:55
BOOMPOW! GOOD STUFF GINNY!

01:21:38
Amazing reading, Virginia!

01:22:29
How much did Ginny's physical environment (proximity to water) influence her imagery.?

01:22:32
Feel free to put your questions here!

01:32:44
Which subjects have you longed to address but are struck so hard that they don't come?

01:33:33
Yes Anne Sexton and Sylvia Plath

01:34:27
I love that - starting with what is in front of one. Weather influences everything.

01:36:27
Ginny - I understand.

01:37:05
That makes sense, Matt.

01:38:45
What would you say to poets who don't send their work out?

01:39:33
to be more specific who hold their work so close that they don't share it much

01:41:40
The question is: For those who write on the subject of trauma. What are the challenges, what are the responsibilities, in terms of working ethically? Does form play a role in resolving ethical concerns?

01:49:02
Possibly, re violence. I mean, it is a chop, isn’t it? That cut could reflect the trauma. I’ll add that the main ethic of one’s own trauma is to tell YOUR truth.

01:49:51
And avoid denigrating others’ truths and experiences. Nobody alone owns pain.

01:50:22
And check your own biases.

01:55:59
Thank you all!

01:56:03
Very rich. And inspiring talk! Thank you all! So glad to have heard you all!
