How do you make a compost crank?

Do you monitor the food scraps coming in that there is no meat, oils, etc put into your bins?

Would you have any contacts with farmers that might be willing to collect food scraps? I was thinking about ourTown having a collection site and having a farmer cart it away like the Troy Farmer market does.

Do biodegradable materials (cups, plates, etc.) get degraded fast enough to be economical in large-scale anaerobic digesters?
