Dr. Peterson was talking about the evidence-based requirements for ESSER funding. Does anyone know if that is the same standard as ESSA or a different standard?

FYI, Maryland's HB 1372 (enacted) requires school systems to provide summer programs in 2021 and 2022 to address COVID impacts and requires certain elements, including partnerships with local agencies (e.g. recs and park) or community organizations among other requirements.
