Is there a template we should use to report our master staffing plan to CDPHE?
Shelly Edwards
44:06
This section doesn't apply to Free Standing Psychiatric Facilities correct?
Bridget Garcia
45:25
There is not a template at this time. Once we get into the stakeholder process CHA will work the Department to create additional resources/templates for hospitals.
Anne Crocker
45:36
Does this section exclude the outlined hospitals that were excluded from staffed bed capacity?
Pat Givens
45:46
We would ask CHA to support the inclusion of all pediatric beds being included in EMResource report. If there is an event that impacts children only (God forbid) it is important that we all have an understanding of pediatric bed capacity beyond just Children's Hospitals.
Kristi Melton
46:59
Just to clarify, we need to have our staffing plans complete but do not need to report our staffing plan to CDPHE on 9/1/22?
Melissa Osse
47:07
Will this presentation be available after this webinar.

?
Bridget Garcia
48:12
Yes, staffing plans need to be in place but do not need to be submitted to CDPHE on 9/1.
Joshua Ewing

Slides will be emailed following the webinar
Lea White
49:23
Do small critical access hospitals with an ED that is staffed by the nurses on the inpatient unit need a separate staffing plan for inpatient and ED?
Joshua Ewing
52:36
Staffing minimums are set by federal regulation, but yes, CAHs do need to submit staffing plans for each IP unit and the ED. Should you be surveyed, that will be what they use to evaluate compliance.
Machelle Newth
53:36
Where do we submit. I think our CEO submitted, but Im unsure....
Mary Rasmusson
53:54
Could you please send the google form along with the slides. Thank you.
Carolyn Carroll

Can you provide guidance on what vaccine is being referred to, and how to meet requirement for including the amount of vaccine, given the fluidity of staff volume? (b) INCLUDE THE AMOUNT OF NECESSARY VACCINES FOR ADMINISTRATION IN ITS ANNUAL EMERGENCY PLAN AND HAVE THE VACCINES AVAILABLE, TO THE EXTENT THAT THE VACCINES ARE AVAILABLE, AT EACH OF ITS HOSPITAL FACILITIES AND HOSPITAL-OWNED PRIMARY CARE SITES DURING AND OUTSIDE OF THE PUBLIC HEALTH EMERGENCY, AS DETERMINED BY RULES PROMULGATED BY THE DEPARTMENT; AND(c) INCLUDE THE NECESSARY TESTING CAPABILITIES AVAILABLE IN ITS ANNUAL EMERGENCY PLAN AND AT EACH OF ITS HOSPITAL FACILITIES AND HOSPITAL-OWNED PRIMARY CARE SITES DURING AND OUTSIDE OF A PUBLIC HEALTH EMERGENCY, TO THE EXTENT THAT THE TESTING IS AVAILABLE, AS DETERMINED BY RULES PROMULGATED BY THE DEPARTMENT.

Tania- We'll plan to answer your Q verbally at the end
Anne Crocker
01:06:02
Does this nurse staffing include only RNs or other ancillary nurse staffing as well
Shelly Edwards
01:08:19
what email do we send the nurse staffing plan
Jacqueline Attlesey-Pries
01:10:54
What do you suggest for the plan of going up to 125% if Emergency declared if you do not physically have that many additional beds as our baseline includes all patient beds currently? We can use areas that do not meet regulatory for inpatient (like infusion room, dialysis room) but then would need to move to PACU which are not ideal for inpatient, including not having a physical bed but stretcher.
Joshua Ewing
01:14:08
Anne: Good Question. The regulation says that "There shall be a master nurse staffing plan, which provides for continuous registered nurse coverage, for distribution of nursing and auxiliary personnel, and for forecasting future needs."
Kindra Mulch
01:15:05
Is there any consensus on the use of LPN's in the staffing plan?
Bridget Garcia
01:16:03
No email to send the nurse staffing plan at this time. CDPHE will determine through the stakeholder process how hospitals should submit their plans whether that's to a specific email address, google form, etc.
Jacqueline Attlesey-Pries
