55:14
Will USCJ be willing to provide funding for Hebrew training for Jewish educators?

55:32
More a comment - by the same thinking, it's not really "religious school" either...

55:59
Since many of our schools are going remote this year (and therefore we can’t use our bulletin boards), does anyone have Jewish Life Vocabulary bitmoji classrooms that they are willing to share?

56:00
can oyu share more details about the national resources for Hebrew teachers

56:04
How are synagogues dealing with the bifurcation of Ramah and Day school students who have much more exposure to Hebrew, and religious school students who appear to be getting less and less and in many settings are not learning anywhere nearly enough to even participate in a typical Conservative synagogue Shabbat service?

56:11
What are some of the online training resources?

56:27
Agreed! I used to be asked if I was "datiyah" in Israel when I explained that I was a teacher in a Religious School :)

58:47

If the kids say Jew school, they say it with ownership and pride. Totally appropriate for them, not for my letterhead.

01:12:31
the term “hebrew school” probably doesn’t come from Hebrew language anyway. It is a 19th century term when Hebrew was a more polite way of saying Jewish, hence Union of American Hebrew Congregations, Hebrew Education Society, etc.

01:12:51
I had figured that, actually!

01:12:59
Hebrew school is just legacy. I use it depending on whom I’m speaking. Or rather let it slide based on the age of the person. We have a name for our program J-JEP but I refer to our religious school which has a Hebrew componant.

01:13:00
It wasn't language but racial/
