Veronica Cunningham
14:33
Will the teen center be closed for the rest of the year?
Principal Larson, CSMS
14:53
Please make your decision for online vs in-person instruction as soon as possible so the schools can plan and schedule accordingly.
Jennifer Laqualia
15:21
Who do we email to make this decision? have a student at cjes and gm
Roxanne Redmond
15:36

Roxanne Redmond
15:59
Also is there a backup plan if for some reason the school has to close?
Jennifer Laqualia
16:10
are these times for distance learning as well?
Principal Larson, CSMS
16:29
Class sizes are determined by the size of the classroom. Classrooms have been rearranged to maximize space and provide 6 feet of separation. Students will still need to wear masks throughout the day.
Principal Larson, CSMS
16:57
Yes, the mentioned times are for both inperson and online instruction.
S. Hall
18:12
If, after the first day of school, we feel there is still too much risk being in-person, are we able to temporarily switch to distance learning?
Jennifer Laqualia
18:20
If we decide to start distance learning and then want to switch to in-person, is this an issue?
Principal Larson, CSMS

24:09
I chose the option for my kids to start online distance learning with the option to transfer back into class within the 1st semester, is that still available?
Principal Larson, CSMS
24:19
None of this information applies to Buena HS, the HS is a separate school district
Elizabeth Nuckols
24:23
do students still get the specials? art music etc
S. Hall
25:14
Per the email sent out this morning by SVUSD, Cochise County is in the substantial community spread category and they will likely be voting to begin the year virtually. Can you explain the disparity between that information and what you have said about us being in the moderate category (which I also was informed should necessitate a virtual start as well).
iPhone
25:35
children who are doing the hybrid schedule, will they still be expected to do work at home as well?
Scott Leenerts
25:56
teen center is open on the 17th and limited to 85 kids at a time

31:04
If my child is attending physical school and is sick, then ends up testing positive for COVID-19, will they be required to then miss x14 days of school? If so, how will this play into the attendance policy? Thanks!
Frank Bell
31:36
what is the procedure if for some reason a teacher during the school day feels ill, not knowing if possible Covid symptoms,
cgm02
32:40
I’m concerned my children will be on technology all day, will tangible things still be offered? (like classroom library, manipulatives etc)
asaldivarsmith
35:19
Will there be zoom lessons online? This was not provided last semester which was difficult for working parents.
Carrie
35:37
This may have already been addressed, but those children that are not in a classroom.. will they be provided laptops? We are coming from out of state and that's what was provided last school year.
sonia
35:43

Sophie Rigollet Stewart
38:16
ditto to the last 4 questions
Anthony Valdes
38:22
Per the email sent out this morning by SVUSD, Cochise County is in the substantial community spread category and they will likely be voting to begin the year virtually. Can you explain the disparity between that information and what you have said about us being in the moderate category (which I also was informed should necessitate a virtual start as well).

For students doing the Hybrid option, can they attend school on the first day to meet teachers in person and get acclimated to a new school?
Roxanne Redmond
38:41
Since playground equipment is not allowed will the kids be able to play at all?
Jennifer Laqualia
39:21
that is an old schedule, will we have an updated online learning schedule reflecting the new hours?
cgm02
40:07
Why are you not offering an online program? Being locked into zoom meetings all day, for multiple children, doesn’t seem feasible.
James
40:58
To clarify, the students are or are not authorized a face shield?
Brittany
41:17
Will chrome books be available for parents to borrow for their students who will be doing distance learning
Justin Westbrook
42:00
is the sample schedule sent out in previous letter the actual schedule plan for distance students? if not, when will the distance schedule be published?
Megan
42:05
by saying students are encouraged to wear a mask, mean they will be made to feel like a rule breaker by not wearing their mask when they do not have to?
Travism
42:27
Morning Parents! If your child is in first grade, and you chose ONLINE LEARNING, I am your child's teachers. I sent a welcome message this morning through the Remind app. I believe it is tied to your email (that you provided during student registration). So, you may need to check your "junk folder."
Jennifer Laqualia
42:29
yes, please elaborate on the new online distance learning schedule if you want us to make a decision today.
Melissa Adams
43:17
From my understanding all specials have been suspended (art, music, PE), and the school days will be just about the same length (minus an hour). There will be no playgound time, and lunch will be at their desk. Their days will be filled with math, social studies and language arts. What else will their days be filled with that is “social” and a creative outlet for them?
asaldivarsmith
43:39
Can a student switch to online if they need to be out for 14 days?
S. Hall
44:07
If I begin my middle school student online with the intent to return in-person within a few weeks, can you guarantee he will be able to keep his spot in the honors cohort upon his return? There has been some disparity about that. I hate the idea of being forced to choose in-person or risk him not being able to continue with his honors curriculum.
Sajii’s iPhone
45:36
how often will the classrooms be disinfected each day and will there be hand sanitizer stations provided or can our student have their own hand sanitizer at their desk?
asaldivarsmith

Many school in the country are testing students. Will testing happen?
Galaxy S9
49:39
Will the online learning children be allowed to take breaks throughout the day, besides their short lunch break? In a normal class setting, there are chances for them to move around, even briefly. The previously drafted schedule sounded pretty strict on time.
cgm02
50:02
Will students be required to quarantine if another student/teacher in their class tests positive? What about their siblings?
James
50:44
What are the lunch options/procedures.

If we buy face shields, do they need to also wear a mask underneath?
cgm02

In the event that one of my children's classes get closed due to Covid exposure, what is the suggested procedure for my other child to continue schooling? My daughter will be a kindergardener and my son will be in 7th grade and both will be doing the in person option.

How can you take a day to ponder that question, but yet as parents we need to make our decision today???

Cyndi
56:38
May we have some sort of validation that hand washing is better than hand sanitizer? I understand students cannot wash hands all day all the time, but allowing them to do so when they enter the classroom in the morning and before they eat lunch or snacks is imperative. This alone could help spread of covid immensely.
Anthony Valdes
57:57
during the live instruction for online students. will students be able to ask questions via zoom?
chessie
58:31
will kindergarteners be able to meet their teachers and visit their classrooms before the first day of school to make them feel more at ease?

01:23:38
Nicola Felder...once a first grade virtual learner returns to the classroom, they may be able to enter the same class, but there are more students on my roster, than the 15 student class cap. So, there will be a few students that will have to enter other first grade classes.
cgm02
01:25:56
So they’ll get some “yard time” to “walk the track” for recess everyday?
