Sometimes a meeting FEELS great but doesn’t produce much for clients and vice versa. The goal is to hit both.

Emma Beers, BFZ (She/Her)
26:44
Yes! Takes accountability off of the facilitator, too, and puts it on the data!
Bobbin Paskell
26:48
Hopefully, it generates group buy in, team accountability, and that the meeting has value
Bobbin Paskell
28:04
Might take a full session to develop team understanding and buy in to this shift in focus

Emma Beers, BFZ (She/Her)
44:31

I measure data through HMIS to check myself
Melissa Baker-She/Her - CFTH
01:00:21
Our measurements come through HMIS reports
Elizabeth Murray
01:00:31
Yes, Metro Denver CoC has been.
jeremys
01:00:39
Length of time on program
Bobbin Paskell
01:00:39
We were using measurements, but got away from it (sadly) just due to nature of time and not enough staff capacity
Marie Morrison
01:00:40
Just love the idea of measuring. So simple - so important. Thanks for putting together some easy tools and ideas!
Melissa Baker-She/Her - CFTH
01:00:44
inflow and outflow
Kerry Thomas
01:00:58
We added "Buckets" to our BNL and it is a great, quick, visual of our system's hold ups. helped us to prioritize our resources and efforts even more. I recommend BUCKETS FOR ALL!
Elizabeth Murray
01:00:59
Lot of time between referral and enrollment, enrollment and move in, etc.
Paul Rush
01:01:04
We look at inflow and outflow from HMIS
Bobbin Paskell
01:01:08
Biggest successes were when data was integral. We did use it as motivational
Bobbin Paskell
01:01:20
Showed them the successes
jeremys
01:01:22
I tell the participants that the main goal is housing
Deborah Patterson
01:01:28
Yes. but LOT is not consistently tracked across all three buckets
BSantiago
01:02:15
Thank you so much for this... I have to leave. Many Thanks!!!
Bobbin Paskell
01:02:50
Inflow was key to focus on those aging in to chronicity when our housing placements were keeping up, but our numbers weren't shrinking
Bobbin Paskell
01:03:30
I'm resuming the data and shifting other meeting management to other stfaff
Amy Bickford
01:03:45
how can you really shrink the LOT from assessment to match, when you have way more on BNL than what can be served with housing openings
Jessica
01:04:02
How do we help staff to see data entry is so crucial without them feeling talked 'at' or lectured?
Bobbin Paskell
01:04:08
Use alternative resources... RRH, diversion
Keanna Johnson
01:04:39
I was just getting there Bobbin!! DIVERSION!!!! I am so ready for our team to get back on track with that
Bobbin Paskell
01:04:42
@Jessica, first decide what data you need. Then have a discussion about why it's critical, and who it makes the most sense to enter it
Bobbin Paskell
01:05:07
Need to shift the culture to view Diversion as a success
Stephanie Crum
01:05:17
Measuring just the clients discussed in the meeting to improve the meeting is great, I think previous versions tried to measure the meeting looking at everyone on the BNL and it didn't make sense to anyone. There are 3,000 people on our BNL and we have time for about 20 to 30 people in case conferencing.
Jessica
01:05:20
OMG.
Keanna Johnson
01:05:26
Everyone is now like, "oh send them to SSVF they can just go in a hotel", and BOOM now their in the homeless system when they could have been diverted
Jessica
01:05:27
Diversion as a success
Jessica
01:05:28
yes!
Paul Rush
01:05:32
Most of our clients go through RRH
Amy Bickford
01:05:36
we do diversion...and phased assessment, so they aren't on list when we are doing diversion phase
Debbie Cato
01:05:40
Diversion is a success if they get housed!
Bobbin Paskell
01:06:11
@Debbie - not just "housed"
Laura Pacheco
01:06:12
Thank you!
Bobbin Paskell
01:06:19
Also with friends/family is a success
