Losing a dear one or a pet during a disaster...

Our members have helped with disasters before. several years ago there were major ice storms in southwest Virginia and our members out there helped shoveling and assisting shut-ins. more recently when we had tornadoes in the northern beach members helped with that. I think they would all say it was a highlight of their service.

In Fairfax County, the Office of Emergency Management provide Emergency Preparedness Kits. I'm sure other jurisdictions may do the same
