If I remember right, Kim Wyman was opposed to rank choice voting because it was really difficult to prepare ballots for the various levels of voting (state, local federal)

RCV offers voters more choices. I also like that the results provide winners and losers with FAR MORE input on what their constituents are thinking and wanting. For example, Cantwell could see how many voters put a progressive ahead of her.

Kim Wyman opposed RCV because she claimed the counting was done "by an ALGORITHM, on a COMPUTER!" In fact, RCV opens the door to restoring public counting in WA.

Why do the instant runoff algorithm rather than alternatives such as Borda Counts?

Maybe zoom could have a voting option to use rank choice voting for officers of organizations...

Borda uses a Score and is more susceptible to strategy.

How many ranking choices will voters have in these two counties?

For Borda you can limit the # ranked to your 3 or 5, etc., limiting strategic voting

My KY primary had a 20% voter turnout of the registered voters. 100% of the unregistered non-voters, equal in number in days gone by, did not vote 100%. Negative campaigns make people not show up. Need motivation to have more people vote. Agreed?
