Hello everyone
Kim Ryley
25:21
What are your recommendations about the frequency of NP testing in LTCH staff. We completed 2 assessment clinics in June and have been asked to determine regularly scheduled testing. With regards to LTCH without a history of positive results and keeping level of risk in mind; what would recommend? Many Thanks

Has there been any documented true second infection to date?
Kimberly W.
32:58
It sure would be great if the Ministry recommendations reflected scientific decisions. At the Assm’t Centre, we have virtually no way of declining to test anyone, even when doing the test makes no sense. We are wasting supplies. Really goes against Choosing Wisely Canada principles!

What are your recommendations for patients with atypical symptoms - eg. only diarrhea/vomiting consistent with gastro. Should these patients be self isolating +/- going for testing?

This may have been asked, but how do we address patients who are no longer social distancing or wearing masks and how to address that this can be going on for many many more months?
Jodi Sonshine
44:30
If people are symptomatic and have a negative covid screen, should patients be isolating for 14 days or 2 days post- resolution of symptoms - I have heard various recommendations.

Wear a face shield ?
Aaliyah Hoo Kim
57:15
Do you think its appropriate to deny care to patients who refuse to wear a mask? There was a video circulating the internet this week called "film hour nurses" which was concerning because as nurses we need to protect ourselves and have a hard time standing our ground with masking with these patients
Kendelle
58:11
If a face mask hinders breathing, why then could they not wear a face shield? (They're widely available, even at Dollarama...)

I work at a CHC. We have been told we will be seconded to shelters & LTC to do testing. I am over 65 & my husband (non medical) is over 70. What precautions if any should I be taking when I go home? do I have to isolate from my husband?
