What are we doing to get locals up to speed to be employed rather than getting Nashville and Atlanta areas?
In here working?
@Brandon Clift Yes, there is! I’m a junior in high school and there’s a program called STEP-UP which high school students can apply to and the program focuses on work readiness and other skills like entrepreneurship.
The program is free and even puts students in internships and summer jobs, which would help with the lower socio-economic status.
We do need to do more than just Transportation to have a healthy ecosystem
My name’s Vinny Nguyen and I’m a junior in high school. With the help of the STEP-UP Chattanooga program I was offered the position of Research Assistant at Eduity. My job is to go out and interview small business startups and take job inventories. Eduity’s goal is to develop a radically better way to plan the workforce. Eduity strives to give employers a simpler way to identify all of their jobs and related requirements. If anyone is interested, I encourage you to use this resource and let’s connect! My email is firstname.lastname@example.org.
Tech Village is amazing.
LOL hot sauce!
Hi All! a pleasure to connect
It will be called RoadMap??
That's awesome! That was my question and I'm glad there will be a clear resource guide for new entrepreneurs.

Corporate and Public Education connect.
Like Uncle Larry's with his 5 restaurants
Are we still "The Smartest City in the Southeast"?
Chattanooga is a very collaborative city. A friend from here told me that when we still lived in Austin and we’ve found it to be totally true.
Love the website resource idea in Jan, startup week,
Chattanooga's vision is definitely not very clear. We all would love to get behind one clear vision and a set of values that are organic to the city.
YES Leadership Chattanooga Class of 2014!!!
Factory geek over here!
Alexis, name of the website with resources coming in Jan?
Great idea Charlie!
1. Have a vision and mission. 2. Ensure it is played out. 3. Market Chattanooga with a heartfelt “WHY” this is an amazing city. 4. Education choice forces schools to innovate their programs for all kids. This has been awesome!
Let's organize a large 3-day Small Business Forum and organize it bottom-up instead of top-down. This is where Chattanooga's vision can reiterated. We are here to help if needed 👍
Excellent Ted! Thanks for your effort there!
Great idea Anton!
Thank you everyone!!! All the best!
+1 to Brad Scott's comment!
Thanks so much, all!
