If we are a charter, does the Board policy need to be signed prior to uploading?
Cassandra Berry
36:45
thank you
CDE Niko Kaloudis
37:31
If you know of colleagues (in or outside of your LEA) that should get this information, please share!
Linda Weyers
37:41
We have heard there is a carryover budget for ESSER I. Where is that and do you need to complete it only if you are changing previously approved line items?
Cassandra Berry
37:43
Thank you for your time today :)
Debbie Myers
37:59
Thank you for the information.
Joanne Vergunst
38:01
will a future office hours address the ARP IDEA & PS funds?
Connie Florell
38:37
How long is it taking to get ESSER II feedback returned?
Linda Weyers
38:56
Thank you!
Brandi S
39:32
A future office hours for IDEA ARP is definitely needed, especially with the budget being due Aug. 31
Jennifer Archuleta
39:36
If we are anticipating having carryover in ESSER II, is there a way to indicate this in the budget application?
Connie Florell
40:08
Ok Thanks
Adams 12-Meghan Deutsch
40:21
I can now see our IDEA ARP funds in the IDEA Fed App system, but I got a confusing email from Evan Davis stating we have to complete that budgt by 8/31/21. - If CDE still hasn't provided guidance, then that's too soon.
Chuck Smithey
41:15
I am the new superintendent for Burlington School district. I was wanting to know if Burlington is a district being monitored for ESSER? We have already have our ESSER III application approved.
Jennifer Archuleta
41:32
I have the place holder language, thanks.
Jennifer Archuleta
41:37
Thanks Niko!
TSD-Mindy Oliphant
42:39
If we are paying insurance premiums for staff that was laid off due to a reduction in force, can these expenses be reimbursed through ESSER?
Jennifer Archuleta
43:03
The ARP funds have to follow the IDEA narrative, however, I'm confused about if there will be an affect on MOE with the additional ARP funds. Clarification on that would be helpful.
Greg Fieth
43:10
Is ARP IDEA "supplement and not supplant" or is it similar to the ESSER where supplanting is allowed?
Michelle Prael - CDE
43:13
You can find the Monitoring Schedule here: http://www.cde.state.co.us/caresact/essermonitorschedule
Tatyana Glushko
43:49
To follow up on the monitoring question, only the FY year listed will be monitored, or everything up to? thanks!
Adams 12-Meghan Deutsch
47:57
If you monitor at the end, say FY23-24 some ESSER's might already been spent and done. So would you still be looking back to prior years for those older ESSER's?
Tammy Giessinger
51:22
Hi, Meghan! Possibly...there are several factors that impact the answer--which indicators are included in the monitoring process, the evidence that the district has available, which years ESSER funds have been used...to name a few.
Tatyana Glushko
52:34
Is there a separate link for ESSER1 carry over app? thnx
CDE - Steven Kaleda
55:56
Evan Davis is now in the meeting so he should be able to answer some of these IDEA - ARP questions that have come up today
CDE Niko Kaloudis
56:17
@Tatyana there is no login ready for ESSER I Carryover yet
Tatyana Glushko
56:48
thnx!
Adams 14 - Andy Flinn

We are considering using ESSER III to purchase additional portable air quality devices (called synexis spheres) and replacement filters for the ones already purchased through the SSRG grant. I’m thinking this would be allowable under the ‘improving indoor air quality’ Allowable Activity. But for monitoring purposes, what type of documentation should we be gathering to demonstrate this is reasonable and necessary? I think the science is mixed on these devices so I’m not sure how to proceed
Brandi S
59:17
Regarding IDEA ARP for Evan - does this funding have to be used for direct relation to COVID (similar to ESSER funding), or is it more of a supplemental funding to the original IDEA and expenditures do not need to be COVID related?
Debbie Myers
01:00:53
When is the ESSER III application due?
Debbie Myers
01:01:39
Is IDEA funding different than the ESSER III funding?
CDE Niko Kaloudis
01:02:03
@Debbie ESSER II must have final by 3/24/22 then PAR for it closes 6/30/23
Joanne Vergunst
01:02:19
what is the deadline for spending the IDEA ARP funds?
Brandi S
01:03:01
IDEA ARP - we would need to submit the budget before we can start obligating the funds? For example, charging staff to IDEA ARP for month of August would not be allowable if we submitted the budget in Sept.?
Debbie Myers
01:03:10
How do you know if a district received IDEA ARP funds?
Tammy Giessinger

How involved is the CDE with Medicaid funding?
Kimyana Lee
01:06:12
And to piggyback off that, would Medicaid be something discussed in prior ESEA office hours that I could review? I'm new to my district. thank you
DAVID HORNER

While supplemental disinfecting systems, such as hydrogen peroxide or bi-polar ionization systems may be effective, they are relatively untested in school environments and not necessary to meet current CDC and ASHRAE COVID-19 guidance, which focuses on optimizing current HVAC systems, increasing air exchanges, and filtration. Therefore, until further testing is conducted, ESSER funds are currently not allowed for installing these supplemental disinfecting systems. Please revise the application to propose an allowable activity. For additional information, please see the CDE guidance for safe reopening: https://www.cde.state.co.us/planning20-21/reopeningschools-faq.
