Our teachers do such an amazing job in taking our circumstances into consideration and caring for us especially because what is happening. We obviously need to take them into consideration as well, but by forcing there to be a competitive mindset for education, we leave behind the beauty of learning!
Minche Kim
53:27
That’s exactly what I was thinking, thank you!

I'll mention that the Afterschool Alliance came out with their America After 3 report last week. Our recent blog summarizes that parent survey findings and links to the full report: https://www.ncsl.org/blog/2020/12/10/new-afterschool-report-shows-both-demand-and-barriers-to-access-have-grown.aspx

Quinn, you should ask your state legislators to expand the participation of your school districts in the federal Department of Agriculture Community Eligibility Program, which allows districts to feed students without regard to family income but, rather, on the dependency of a community as a whole on different anti-poverty support programs. Best of all, this program doesn't cost the state or the school district because the federal government pays for the program.

It seems like a good first step to addressing students' mental health is exactly what we are doing here - ask them what they need.

Thanks for your insights Anayre
