You can take compost scraps to MOMs, for the bins inside the stores and in the big bin in the parking lot (next to the purple glass dumpster.

One of the best things about brining my compost to the ALX drop-off is that they have soil there - so I take some back for my garden after dumping my compost.

a good thing about the MOM parking lot bin location is that it is there 24/7.

Ellen - I reuse large plastic containers with screw lids that use to hold M&Ms or mixed nuts instead of buying storage containers for bulk items like grains and flours.

From Anonymous - I believe bulk items at Whole Foods and MOM’s do cost more. I am not familiar with the other stores.

Etsy also has a lot of great products - I switched to cloth hankies this year instead of tissues, and reuseable cloth towels instead of paper towels. And, my mom sewed me a bunch of reuseable cloth napkins. All work really well.
