Bernie ad others have been doing that for a long time. The Democratic Party machine marginalizes them, which is one of the main reasons the majority does not hold the power they should in this nation.

I found that Gen Z age is between 8 and 23....don't know the age range in that study might have been more specific to those of voting age.

I’ve signed in Pro a couple of times on the same issue; the system doesn’t prevent it, and I got the same ‘ask’ from several sources.

I think he is saying that when an environmental organization hires a lobbyist for the petroleum industry, it is giving that lobbyist more access to green legislators. Is that it?
Robert Foster
01:16:22
How does a lobbyist effectively work opposing sides?
Roy Pardee
01:17:23
I think that's right David--the idea here is to starve the fossil fuel industry of lobbying talent
Roy Pardee
01:17:29
I think?

The school districts listed are primarily Pierce County
Carol McMahon
01:21:27
It also begs the question about our municipalities, who also use lobbyists. Which may more likely represent builders, real estate, etc. But it is conceivable they are also representing oil particularly with decisions regarding LNG pipe lines in South Snohomish County (as an example).
Carol McMahon
01:24:23
Sure, we need lobbyists to advocate for interests - however… it seems a conflict of interest.

We know petroleum is a dirty industry

We really need discussions about "green" industries

WA State has a very greenwashed energy system and positive public perception that is not warranted. Until recently I thought we use "hydro" and that's great then I learned about devastation of salmon habitats

A 90 year old told me a while ago that she regretted that they didn’t do more back in the 60’s but they thought this would be happening in 100 years. They never thought they would have to deal with it in their lifetime.

When representing two opposing groups, does it work out that when X who represents, say Environment and also Gas and Oil, meets with a representative on half of Environment does the dual background m ean that the rep understand that this is for show.
