Are EDs segregating all patients with possible COVID symptoms in another area of your ED or in negative air flow rooms only?
Nick Tsipis

Great question, Diana! We have created alternate triage and waiting room processes for COVID persons under investigation (PUI) vs non-PUIs. We have built in barriers and separate treatment places for these cohorts as well. Happy to discuss more after transport discussion!

Has anyone had difficulties transferring a COVID patient due to bed availability. Are there plans to improve acceptance of patients with a high severity score? Possibly trade patients?

Could Alan speak to liability and treatment of patients by 'the community standard' if we in rural hospitals are unable to transfer to the Front Range- are we in rural communities held to our community standard or the standard of the Front Range hospitals?
