We will post all of these documents on the NTCA CoP website that Julie is sharing
Ryan Weight
01:05:22
What's the hard due date for this? I've got so much COVID on the brain I can't remember!?!
Heidi Behm
01:05:45
It's due June 30 but you should ask for an extension if you need it!
Vernita Wingate
01:05:47
Can you make your word document full screen?

In the CDC Evaluation and Performance Management Plan guidance for recipients, there is a laboratory portion involved:– Length should be <1 page– Evaluation narrative should include and describe the following:• How and who determines monitoring practices for workload volume and turnaround time data?• What are the processes for establishment of internal laboratory-specific goals (Element 1)?• How are turnaround time data used to develop and evaluate strategies/activities for improvement of National Tuberculosis Laboratory Performance Targets [Element 1—specimen receipt, acid-fast bacilli (AFB) smear, nucleic acid amplification testing (NAAT), identification (ID), and drug susceptibility testing (DST)] (i.e., creation of LIMS queries, educational opportunities with submitters, discussion/collaboration with staff, leadership, and partners, etc.) ?• What is the approach for developing and evaluating strategies/activities for Element 2, and element 3
Heidi Behm
01:09:28
In Oregon, our lab interacts directly with their CDC point of contact about things like this. I'd ask your lab to check in with their CDC point of contact about this requirement.
Susan McElhany
01:11:51
PE part: is this the same as we submitted in the NOFO application, just fleshed out more? And, are we submitting a "new focus" area in our APR due end August 20?
Jennifer Kanouse
01:13:56
The documents shown by Heidi and Julie are available on the NTCA Community of Practice landing page at http://www.tbcontrollers.org/resources/community-of-practice/
Heidi Behm
01:14:45
Hi Susan, Yes that might be correct regarding the NOFO depending on where you were on the last PE at the time you wrote it. The APR in August I believe will be a report of what happened in early 2020. I can't recall right now the timeframe the APR due in August is focused on.
Pete Dupree
01:15:04
As to the lab component, as Heidi stated above, there is a separate lab project officer who the labs communicate with. We do not plan to add any lab-specific language in the Program Eval plan for Colorado. We do include the core lab data in the actual narrative e.g. turn around times.
Heidi Behm
01:15:24
Yep, I agree with Pete!
Karen Martinek
01:18:12
Interested in breakdown of NTIP data in other jurisdictions. Do you get statewide, county, big city level or ? In Alaska we only get statewide and Anchorage? Hard to look at regional differences without this. Thanks
Julie Tans-Kersten
01:20:29
We are definitely using the same data management plan that was used for ELC
Leonard Mukasa
01:20:47
Thank you Heidi and Julie. We were quite behind in AR!
Cheryl Kearns
01:20:58
Karen, In NY we are able to get NTIP reports for state, regional level and some of our larger counties. We provided CDC with a list of counties and regions a number of years back and they added them to the NTIP system.
Heidi Behm
01:21:21
Hi karen, We always need to pull additional data outside of what's in NTIP for the PE.
Karen Martinek
01:22:31
Thanks!
Brenda Montoya Denison
01:24:35
An extension was requested last week but no response yet.
Pete Dupree
01:24:53
Oops, sorry for the deadline confusion. My bad.
Brenda Montoya Denison
01:25:27
Thanks for the info. Will do
Ryan Weight
01:26:51
I had to reach out to the Grant Manager. Forgot his name at the moment, but got better response from him
Brenda Montoya Denison

I’m on TB PEN Steering Committee. We had requested a webinar specific to the evaluation plan, but the response we got was that programs should rely on the 3-page guidance document that was sent out, and ask their project officer if they have questions.

01:32:48
You can respond with open response in the polling question
Ryan Weight
01:33:00
Thanks guys gotta run
Julie Tans-Kersten
01:33:25
So the TB PEN call on June 3 is not to help with preparation of the Program Evaluation Plan?
Heidi Behm
01:33:45
I had not heard about this call.
Jenni Wheeler
01:35:47
An email about the June 3rd Open Forum call was sent to the TB PEN email list. Your state’s program evaluation focal point should have received it.
Julie Tans-Kersten
01:36:29
