my info as a docent at the Nixon Library says Richard Nixon began training at Quonset Point, RI around August 1942 and when finished was transferred to Ottumwa, IA in October 1942

My info says in Ottumwa, Nixon was assigned as Aide to the Executive Officer at the Naval Air Station there until May 1943
