Hi Everyone, Thanks for tonight Craig, looking forward to tonight's session!
You may have mentioned this before but when is the best time of the year to plant tomatoes?
What's the best way to dig into clay soil and how deep would I need to go to give the roots enough space?
Craig, what are your thoughts on coffee grounds as an organic soil conditioner?
Makes sense. Thank you!
Ah. ok. It's hard work to dig into it so great news.
I've just been given a few determinant tommies, yesterday (I have them here to show you on video)... they are hardened off, but half yellow... worth planting, or turf away?

do you have further questions?
My tomatoes are in the ground and approx. 60cm tall, they are very bushy at the base, should I trim some of the lower branches so it is easier to water with the hose? They are cherry tomatoes and Roma. thanks
What are your thoughts on the soil blocking tool, where you create soil blocks without plastic containers
so I trim back to the main stalk with a pair of secateaurs. I have mulched with straw.
can Marigolds help deter pests for other plants as well?
are potatoes any good for the soil as we seem to have them popping up in the vegie patch
They sound amazing. Thanks!
Would love a fool-proof guide to watering.... I tend to flood every wk or so, then water when wilt.....not ideal!!
At the end of the growing season, can I put my chopped up tomato plant in the compost bin?
thanks for that :)
thank you Craig & Fran, its been great
Thanks Craig for the pearls of planty-wisdom, as usual, top-notch!
