It lasts for an hour.
Me too Mark!
I think its very empowering when we voice to clients that they have the have the power of their resources/resilience to improve use it in session 1 of 6 thankyou
Its not SF it Adler believed that even babies need to feel that adults believe they are competent in order to develop healthy
Is there any recommended websites or reading for SFT?
Thank you for this. I wonder if this therapy can be used with people who have personality disorders or other serious diagnoses.
www.psychologytools.com.Solutionfocused.net and www.getselfhelp.co.uk.
Hi Charlene, a recording of the webinar is available at 222.apt.ac
I also work with clients with personality disorders so was wondering the same - is BSFT helpful?
thankyou Jennifer appreciated :)
its a really interesting area
no probs Zahida.I find it harder to work with personality disorders..as they are the ones needing to change and do a bit of work.
yes I agree
People with a diagnosis of personality disorder have often experienced trauma and been through a lot... and have strengths somewhere that they used to get through. Might be more difficult to uncover
These tips on questioning are really useful....thankyou
I agree with Charlie, I have used these scaling questions and they are a great way to get the client to think about their resources but also about increasing insight
We work with people with personality disorder traits, not necessarily full diagnosis, alongside mood and psychotic disorders. We have found it harder using this approach with personality disorder traits but not impossible and still valuable approach and it obviously varies from person to person. I think it's important to still validate if people are describing their distress so you might spend more time on coping/managing questions.
We would receive the handouts?
Hi Marianela, you can view a recording of the presentation at www.apt.ac after the training
it would have been good to see the first set up of the questions to ask
can the parts that are being skipped be made available too?? Please
Yes, I'd like to know that too (Zahida) .. too much being glossed over due to a 14 minute ramble / introductions at the beginning.
Too much useful information.
I would appreciate the handouts

Hi I deliver an Solution Focussed therapy group and have done for 11 yrs its been successful.I prefer to use this therapy for most patients as It is very adaptable less tissues used as people become to look at solutions rather than problems.
I will make use of what I have learnt, thanks so much.
I find BSFT very interesting.... just would have like a little more time spent explaining the process content slides. It was 14 minutes after 3 when the speaker began which is a shame. Given an extra 10 minutes he may have had time to go into more details. Content really helpful though and a good revision.
Charlie, thank you. I knew about SFBT but your session really allowed me to review it all and cemented it so well. Great! Thank you, Grazie, Merci :)
Here it is :)
Hi Claire Beaulne. You can email me and I can send you all slides no worries
Thank you Charlie, very helpful refresher of BSFT.
