If you are awarded a scholarship,like the Palmetto Fellowship, do you receive overage if you don't use all of the award? Or do you lose the excess?

If you are currently in dual eligible classes in high school, does this count towards the 30 credit hours for the freshman academic year? Does Computer Science count for Math/Science for the Palmetto Fellowship Scholarship?
