What supports do you advocate for people who are coming out of prison?

Do either of the Parole bills address how the Parole Board is being selected

Can you tell us more about Justice Roadmap and ending drug war? I believe that the organization is backing legislation around decriminalizing spring possession, possession of buprenorphine and creating Overdose Prevention Centers.(safe injection facilities). Than ks for all that you are doing!

Status of Bills- Senate Elder Parole bill has 24 Co-Sponsors and the Fair & Timely Bill has 18 Co-Sponsors (both need 32 to have a majority)

Assembly: Fair & Timely has 36 co-sponsors and Elder Parole has 43 Co-Sponsors (both need 76 to have a majority)

I wanted to ask regarding preparing individuals for being released that would like to contribute to the community is there anything in the bill regarding formal education or vocational training?

Thank you Jose and Noel and the committee. It is so frustrating that this is even an issue. The most horrifying thing that Jose shared is that a commissioner of humanity and decency was drummed out of office by the PBA, the media, and politicians.
