Hello UW-La Crosse! I am sorry to have my camera off but I am eating lunch 🙂

Hi all, Lauren from Sunderland (UK) - this might be too specific for this session, but I have a student due to depart in January to a US institution - she is required to provide proof of vaccines however due to medicals reasons, she was unable to have certain vaccines as a child. Is there anything she can provide to still allow her to participate in her ISEP programme?

24:31
Is it possible for ISEP to assist to identify support at the host site prior to departure ?

25:23
Do students need to be registered at their home university for accommodations for all ISEP programs? Or is that dependent on the host institution?

25:28
thanks Zach!

I have a student who is going to Germany in the Spring and he was wondering which ISEP MER insurance he should get, "global assistance" or "limited medical and global assistance". What is the difference? Thank you.

Is it ever possible for the ISEP insurance to make direct payments to the provider ? What about in a case of a hospitalization ?

43:59
Chile’s Health Policy requires a 30000 coverage, and we require repatriation and full coverage. Which will be the plan for our incoming?

44:02
incomings

47:03
Do national health insurance policies provide coverage if student travels to other counties in the region while on the program ?

48:10
Can you please explain more about the partial coverage for therapy sessions?

49:30
Do students get reimbursed digitally on their card, or do reimbursements get sent by check to their permanent US address or temporary study abroad address? I'm curious if students get reimbursed during or only after their programs.

52:37
Thanks!

54:28
yep - it will work! The wonders of the EU - wouldn't be covered for UK unfortunately though (*shakes fist as Brexit*)

55:22
Thank you. Letting the student know they should get a letter up front is helpful. 🙂

56:14
Students should be encouraged to file a claim for reimbursement sooner than later so the refund is not sent after they have returned to their home country.

59:16
Is asymptomatic COVID test also covered ?

59:30
Has ISEP's FAQ page on COVID coverage been updated in the last few months? Just curious in case things have changed that you might know of. Thank you so much for all the help!

59:43
Is there a specific COVID waiver that outbound students need to sign with ISEP?

Medically appropriate COVID-19 testing will be covered at no cost-share (coinsurance or deductible) when ordered by a physician or health care professional for purposes of diagnosis or treatment of an individual member during the national public health emergency period. The COVID-19 virus/antigen detection (diagnostic) test is covered by your ISEP insurance, and any coinsurance or deductible will not apply for the COVID-19 diagnostic test.
