Hello, Joe! I am a fellow quilting teacher from Poway, California
hi Joe! hi Patricia!
Hi all,Hello from Canada. I've been working on the piece from the workshop on Saturday. So far it looks like an asteroid!
That could have been a multiple choice - I fit into more than one category
Joe came to Point Bonita…that’s where I met him and heard him talk
That’s a good point! I’ll make a note
no choice for Joe's online Freedom workshops
Joe came to our guild in Toronto Canada a few years ago. Loved his talk and work!
There was no option in the poll for Joe’s current Quilt Freedom zoom webinars.
Joe, did you take your dog with you?
R all the museums open now?
Linda Syverson Guild
do you have a blog?
Clover, I believe some museums are open, but it seems to keep changing.
could someone please list these locations for us to further pursue these places?
Joe, next time you’re driving about visiting quilt museums, come see the beautiful Kona Quilt Museum in Hawaii!
San Diego museums currently closed. Visions Art Museum and Oceanside Museum of Art. Who knows how long.
Hi Joe from Sarasota
Gabby La La
I am in Oakland!
Linda, Joe doesn’t have a blog, but he’s fairly active on Instagram, under the handle @joethequilter
how. do I get Joe full screen?
Gabby La La
I am wondering if joe ever works with interns to assist with his projects
Gaye, I will do my best to have a list when we send out the recording
what do you use to hand your quilts?
Mary Ann Cox
Barbara switch to active speaker
Hang your quilts..
Joe. we would love to have you come visit the Pacific Northwest Quilt and Fiber Art Museum in La Conner Washington.
does Joe ever use the sashiko 2 machine for his quilts?
Maureen, Joe primarily uses his long arm machine! I do not think he has a sashiko 2.
Space s way too neat!!
Who makes the “Stitch” machine?
do you have much natural ligyht in your actual work space, I see you have it in your gallery, but it looks like you're butt up against a building in the work room? Love the work tanble, I'm drooling, and I want to hear more abouit the new sewing machine in the quilt report, okay?
what do you use for the "meat" of your quilt sandwich?
that Q.S. wool bat is fabulous
how do you apply the bias tape fabric
how will you organise your fabrics, what categories? I need to do something different with my fabrics
Gabby La La
do you work with a team or alone?
do you fold over edges of bias tape, or keep edges raw? How do yo get the big curves?
Joani, I’m not quite sure all the ins and outs of Joe’s bias tape techniques, but I know he does teach it, including with the online workshops he’s mentioning now.
I'm enjoying the online Joe workshops.
yes yes, this quilt is going places
Where do you find the workships
Jackie, I believe you can check his website and sign up from there

Phys ed and art teachers who tell students they have no talent should be fired!
am I the ony one sewing?
I started sewing; am now knitting so I can watch better.
I’m working on Saturday’s Freedom workshop project.
I had planned to, but am not.
Can u show us more of your recent quilts & talk about them PLEASE
Could you explain finish/binding on this quilt?
happy you sold the quilt, but sad to see your triumphant piece will be leaving your space
What is your end of the day routine, when you leave the studio, to be ready to work when you arrive the next day? Your workspace is very tidy!
Do you ever lack inspiration? If so where do you turn? How do you address it?
Is the ‘eureka moment’ quilt hand quilted?
the Di Rosa Art Preserve in Napa has a large number of William T. Wiley works in its collection
how do you choose fabric to be in your inventory?
"What's It All Mean: William T. Wiley in Retrospect" by Joann Moser
I have that Wiley book. Gotta go through it again, it's been too long!
Patricia, Joe and Victoria thank you for a wonderful hour of listening to something fun and interesting. Joe always makes me laugh and enjoying his work.
Love you all! Thank you.
