How do you feel about us keeping doors open so we can spread kids out and have them go in and out of different doors and not touch the handles, same with classrooms, (a very different safety plan than what we have followed for years)?
Tom Buzzell Bristol Elementary
22:34
We are using rubber door jams, with the direction to staff to "kick those out in the event of a evacuation drill"
Tom Drake, CBMS
22:39
We are hoping to have our students learning outside a good deal more. My expectation for security will be the same as for recess or PE outdoors…radios, line of sight, etc. Does this sound correct to you?
Michael.Derevjanik
23:44
It is againt fire code according to my local fire marshall
Sam Mcleod
24:01
With all of the outdoor education activities being used to expand learning spaces, what are the procedural/drill changes for bringing students back into the building during a shelter in place or lockdown from exterior threat?
Michael.Derevjanik
24:22
classrooms can only be propped open the rooms have a sprinkler system
JeanMarie Oakman
26:56
We have been told no air conditioners or fans. This could be very dangerous in the fall. In our school, every classroom has an air conditioner and several fans. I am afraid to tell faculty about this.....yikes!
Sam Mcleod
28:16
Where has the guidance come from on fans? I have not heard this.
Sam Mcleod
29:57
Has this been an official guidance, or a district specific rule?
Mike McRaith, VPA, he/him
30:04
If you are not speaking, please remember to “mute”
Denise Maurice - Lamoille Union Middle

Our nurse, COVID director, said that fans could only be used to push air out of a room rather than around a room. She had gotten it from I think the CDC or VT health dept.
Michael.Derevjanik
39:56
I have plenty of hand sanitizer ON ORDER, just waiting for it to come in
Michael.Derevjanik
40:12

JeanMarie Oakman
43:12
Do you expect teachers/staff to have covid tests before school begins?
Leeann Wright, Northwest Career & Technical Center
43:24
is there guidance on using an ionizer or another way to sanitize in a career & technical center lab with many surfaces, tools etc.?
Becky Armitage
44:01
I'm sorry I stepped out--you are going to get more specifics about fans, etc. Correct? Will that include ceiling fans, please?
Deb Infurna
44:36
Also cleaning of play ground equipment?
Mike McRaith, VPA, he/him
44:52
@Becky, yes the guests here mentioned that they would come back with more details about fans and A/C. We will put that info into LEADs on Friday morning

How are schools dealing with cleaning of buses? Are you having bus companies do this? We have two different schools sharing buses with a short turn around time. Any advice or ideas would be helpful.
Rob Evans
45:42
yes, we will ensure we get all the ceiling fan, air conditioners and fans back to the grouol
Rob Evans
47:53

Plastic and metal playground equipment must be cleaned frequently androutinely over the course of each day.o The targeted use of disinfectants can be done effectively, efficiently and safely onoutdoor hard surfaces and objects frequently touched by multiple people (e.g.,handrails, benches); make sure disinfectant has thoroughly dried before allowingchildren to play.o Staff should continue to reinforce physical distancing during playground play.o Hand washing/sanitizing stations must be set up on the playground
